Well, it’s not that close yet, but now I have your attention! And if you want to get your entry in on time, it’s good to plan ahead. The Cork Film Festival is unique in the fact that it places such a focus on the short film. This sets it apart from festivals such as the Jameson Dublin Film Festival which only has one or two screenings of shorts from all over Ireland. Not only does the Cork fest hold Irish short screenings, it also includes a ‘Made in Cork’ section so that Corkonian film makers have an even better chance of seeing their flick on the big screen.
The deadlines for all Irish entries is July 18th 2008. And for the non-Irish reading this, the deadline for International entries is June 28th.
