Although it’s been running for a few weeks now, it’s worth noting that the Triskel are screening free movies for the festive season..which is really nice, given we’re in a recession and all rite? They continue this Saturday, Sunday, and Monday with screenings of Elf, It’s a Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th Street.

There’s also free films to avail of at the Christmas fair in the Bodega which runs until 6pm on December 24th.

Finally on Saturday 27th, the Pav will hold a screening of Feis Carvery , a short film about Irish chefs who compete for the title of ‘Feis Carvery na hEireann’; at least it sounds better than another of those damn reality restaurant shows. And it’s free too!!
